Dr Seamus Kiernan Snr
Dr Kiernan has practiced as a GP in Navan for 40 years and at this stage of his career it is not unusual for the 6th generation of some families to see him. He has a special interest in Paediatrics and indeed has patients attend with their children form far and wide.
Dr Seamus Kiernan Jr
Dr Kiernan qualified in from UCD Medicine in 2001 and after completing his Higher training joined the Practice in 2005. While enjoying the variety of family medicine he has special interest in sport injuries, sexual health and STD screening and Travel medicine.
Dr Chrisitine Sinton
Dr Sinton qualified from UCD Medicine in 2005 and completed her Higher training in General Practice and joined the Practice in 2012 becoming a Partner in 2014. She has a special interest in female health. She is trained in the insertion of the Mirena device.
Dr Catherine Finnucane
Dr Finnucane qualified from UCG in 200? and completed her higher training in the Midlands. She joined the practice in 2014. She has a special interest in female health.
Nurse Ida Fitzpatrick
RGN, H.Dip.in Midwifery, Dip.in Women’s Health Management in Primary Care.
Certificates in Practice Nursing, Family planning, Cervical Smear taking, Antenatal Education, Infant Nutrition, Childhood Immunisation, Travel Health, Sexually Transmitted Infections, Injection Technique, Venepuncture and wound care.
Ida qualified as a Registered General Nurse from The Adelaide Hospital, Dublin in 1996.She spent the next 2 years there working on the female surgical and gynaecological ward. She then qualified as a midwife from The Coombe Woman’s Hospital, Dublin with a Higher Diploma in Midwifery from UCD. She worked in The Special Care Baby unit there for the next year and a half. After completing The Practice Nurse Course in The Royal College of Surgeons, Ida put her theory into practice working in a Practice in Clondalkin before moving to live in Navan in 2002 and commencing work in Dr. Kiernan’s Surgery.
